A Fresh Start

They say that every day is a fresh start. Being that it’s the 100th day of school and a big deal (to most of the younger kids at school) I thought that having a fresh start was a great way to start my day. As I unlock my classroom today I thought…”Ahhh fresh start!” Whatever went wrong yesterday doesn’t count. No matter what hassles there were…scratch them! With confidence, I unlocked my door, and took a deep breath in as I walked into the room. Well…to my surprise my “Fresh Start” contained a stench of rotten food and a trail of ants leading up to the cubby where a student had forgotten to take his lunch home.

Maybe fresh starts are over rated. Is it a bad idea to just hope for no ant trails every morning? That kids lucky I love him AND I have ant traps.
Here’s to fresh start tomorrow. )
